14. ALARM CONDITIONS

ALARM CONDITIONS:

 

The LWR Manure Treatment System is shut-down if any of the following safety limits are exceeded:

  1.  Emergency Shutdown Button is pressed
    1. Pull ESD button out.

  1. LAHH-0901A, Inlet Tank (V-090A) High High Level – Optional
    1. Process manure in the tanks
    2. Check function of the level switch and replace if damaged.

  1. LAHH-0901B, Inlet Tank (V-090B) High High Level – Optional
    1. Process manure in the tanks
    2. Check function of the level switch and replace if damaged.

  1. FALL-1202, Transfer Pump (P-120) Low Low Flow
    1. Check pump suction and discharge for blockage.
    2. Rotate pump and motor by hand to determine if seized.
    3. Check motor overloads to see if they have tripped.

  1. LAHH-1303, Screw Press Filtrate Tank (V-130) High High Level

  1. LAHH-1703, Microscreen Filtrate Tank (V-170) High High Level

  1. FALL-1702B, Transfer Pump (P-170B) Low Low Flow
    1. Check pump suction and discharge for blockage.
    2. Rotate pump and motor by hand to determine if seized.
    3. Check motor overloads to see if they have tripped.

  1. FALL-2201, Sludge Pump (P-220) Low Low Flow
    1. Check pump suction and discharge for blockage.
    2. Rotate pump and motor by hand to determine if seized.
    3. Check motor overloads to see if they have tripped.

  1. LAHH-2001, Equalization Tank (V-200) High High Level

  1. FALL-2102, Transfer Pump (P-210) Low Low Flow
    1. Check pump suction and discharge for blockage.
    2. Rotate pump and motor by hand to determine if seized.
    3. Check motor overloads to see if they have tripped.

  1. PAHH-2505, Cartridge Filter (F-250A/B) High High Differential Pressure
    1. Check cartridge filters for plugging and replace if required.
    2. Check pressure transmitter sensing lines and clean if required.

  1. LALL-2601, Antiscalant Chemical Drum (V-260) Low Low Level
    1. Check Antiscalant Chemical Level and replenish if necessary.
    2. Check function of Antiscalant low low level switch and replace if damaged.

  1. LAHH-2801-1/-2, RO Feed Tank (V-280) High High Level

  1. FALL-2901-1/-2, RO Feed Pump (P-290A) Low Low Flow
    1. Check pump suction and discharge for blockage.
    2. Rotate pump and motor by hand to determine if seized.
    3. Check motor overloads to see if they have tripped.

  1. PAHH-3001-1/-2, RO System #1 Stage #1 Vessels (V-300A-C) High High Differential Pressure
    1. Clean RO System
    2. Check pressure switch sensing lines for blockage and clean if required.

  1. PAHH-3004-1/-2, RO System #1 Stage #2 Vessels (V-300G) High High Differential Pressure
    1. Clean RO System
    2. Check pressure switch sensing lines for blockage and clean if required.

  1. LAHH-3101-1/-2, RO Feed Tank (V-310) High High Level

  1. FALL-3201-1/-2, RO Feed Pump (P-320) Low Low Flow
    1. Check pump suction and discharge for blockage.
    2. Rotate pump and motor by hand to determine if seized.
    3. Check motor overloads to see if they have tripped.

  1. AAHH-3305-1/-2, RO System #2 Permeate High High Conductivity
    1. Check RO O-rings for Slippage and replace any damage O-rings.
    2. Clean RO System

 

The transfer pumps will maintain the level in the tanks required unless one of the above safety limits is exceeded.

The RO feed pumps will cycle on and off as required unless one of the above safety limits is exceeded.

Resetting alarms on the recovery system is typical for all alarm conditions.  Once the alarm condition has cleared, the unit is re-started by turning the ‘Hand-Off-Auto’ switches to “Off”.  Press the ‘Reset’ button on the operator display, and then follow the System Start-Up procedures
