1. Touch Screen Operation
TOUCH SCREEN OPERATION
The system control panel features an
operator display that allows you to control and navigate the system using the
touchscreen interface. To operate the touch screen:
1. NAVIGATION:
- To switch between different
screens, press the screen buttons located along the bottom edge of the touch
screen. The current screen displayed will be removed from the list.
- During an active alarm on the
system, an alarm banner will be present at the bottom of the touch screen.
2. ALARM
RESET:
Located in the bottom left-hand
corner of the touch screen, there is an alarm reset button. Pressing this
button will reset certain active alarm condition. Some alarms, such as high or low
level alarms will not clear on reset until the tank is within operating range.
Exercise caution when using this button, as the system will automatically
restart and unexpected pump operation may occur.
3. LOG
SHEET:
- Below the Reset button, you
will find a log sheet button. Pressing this button will display the log sheet
screen, which shows most of the inputs required to fill out a log sheet.
4. FUNCTION
ICONS:
- Each screen offers various
icons for operators to press, granting access to Hand-Off-Auto (HOA) screens,
set point configurations, and display settings.
- If equipped with grõCONTROL,
the HOA icons are accessible by pressing on the inlet Total Suspended Solids
measurement readout.
5. PUMP
CONTROL:
- By pressing any of the pump
symbols on the touch screen, you can access the HOA screen for that specific
pump. On this screen, you can select:
- "Off"
to shut the pump off by having neither "Hand" or "Auto" selected.
- "Hand"
to run the pump bypassing the normal control sequence and alarm shutdowns
- "Auto"
to operate the pump under the control of the PLC
- Caution should be exercised
when leaving a pump in the "Hand" position, as close
monitoring is necessary to prevent equipment damage or containment loss.
6. SET
POINT ADJUSTMENT:
- Pressing any of the "Set
P-XXX Freq" set points will open the numeric touch screen, enabling
operators to change the speed of the pump/motor.
- Pressing any of the "P-XXX
Dose" set points will open the numeric touch screen, allowing operators to
change the chemical dose concentration.
7. HARDWARE
AND PLC SETTINGS:
- To access the Hardware Settings
screen, press and hold the upper left corner of the TITLE screen for 3
seconds. A password is required, which is preset as 111111.
- To access the PLC Settings
screen, press and hold the upper right corner of the TITLE screen for 3
seconds. Operators can adjust the clock times on this screen.
8. DATA
STORAGE:
- The touch screen is programmed
to continuously upload data to
LWR's server every 5 minutes for analysis, provided the internet connection is working. This includes flow data and TSS values if grõCONTROL is included.
